Christopher H. Kard, CPA
Chris Kard founded Kard, CPA, P.A. in 2021 to provide industry-focused accounting & consulting services to clients in insurance; real estate; farming & agriculture; and contractors & subcontractors. Mr. Kard has served as controller, CFO and president of P&C insurance carriers and insurance managing general agencies (MGAs). Mr. Kard served in the audit & accounting practice of an international accounting & consulting firm for over a decade, working with clients in insurance, manufacturing, construction, entertainment and real estate. Mr. Kard is a graduate of Stetson University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting, and the University of Florida with an M.B.A. Mr. Kard is a certified public accountant licensed in Florida.
Michelle Maxwell
Michelle Maxwell joined Kard, CPA, P.A. as Director in 2021. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Maxwell served as corporate controller for a P&C insurance carrier and managing general agency (MGA) with responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting, internal controls, and oversight of accounting & finance personnel. Prior to her role as controller, Ms. Maxwell held positions as manager of accounting and financial reporting in the food services industry, and in the annuity, life and health insurance industry. For nearly a decade, Ms. Maxwell held senior roles in leading accounting, tax & advisory firms. Ms. Maxwell is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
